 Career experience includes establishing two securitization teams, a structured finance department, a whole loan sale desk, and a French distressed assets investment management subsidiary; integrating a large US commercial mortgage finance company and a German investment management organization; reorganizing the US operations of one of the world’s largest real estate investment management companies; founding an international resort development company; and founding a boutique investment and management services advisory firm.


Participation in over 60 debt and equity transactions comprising approximately $5 billion in transactions value.  This includes RMBS (residential mortgage-backed securities), CMBS (commercial mortgage-backed securities), municipal bonds, direct real estate acquisitions and financings, corporate M&A and divestitures, and private equity fund raising activities.


Significant operations experience including overseeing budgeting, planning, marketing, advertising, project development, finance, audit/internal control, technology, human resources, facilities, and general administrative activities over a 20-year career.

Chief Executive Officer, Trident Global, LLC (New York, NY) 2008-

Trident Global is an investment and management services advisory firm founded in New York, New York, and headquartered in Miami, Florida.  The firm assists clients both domestically and abroad in industries ranging from chemical manufacturing and mining to waste and energy management, investment management, technology, data and other services in acquiring, building, financing, growing, integrating, and re-engineering their organizations for superior performance and to prepare them for next stage growth and capital.

  • Founder and principal responsible for business development, strategic planning, execution, and recruitment.

Chief Operating Officer, RWO Acquisitions (New York, NY) 2005-2008

RWO Acquisitions is a master developer of premier resort development communities in select markets in the U.S. and abroad. The firm owns or controls over 3,000 residential lots in the U.S. and Costa Rica.  Current projects include Withers Preserve, a multi-billion dollar, mixed use, base realignment project in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Rancho Lomas, a 130-hectare residential community in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

  • Founding member responsible for establishing and managing corporate and project staffs and infrastructure.
  • Managed the firm’s day-to-day activities, including project development, sales and marketing, accounting, planning, human resources, technology, facilities and general administrative activities.
  • Shared acquisitions and finance responsibilities with the Owner/CEO.

Prudential Financial (Newark and Parsippany, NJ) 1997-2005

Chief Operating Officer, Prudential Real Estate  Investors (2003–2005)

PREI is a leading global institutional real estate investment manager.  As of 2005, PREI had over 425 employees in 21 offices in 13 countries and managed over $20 billion of commercial real estate throughout the world.

  • Coordinated functional operations of the firm – finance, systems, human resources, compliance, risk management, internal audit, fund operations/accounting, facilities, and administration.
  • Developed and implemented strategies for improving the firm’s operations.
  • Managed significant special projects for the firm – corporate acquisition, integration, reorganization, disposition and process re-engineering.
  • Led take down of $1.3 billion domestic commercial real estate portfolio.
  • Managed the sale of an international timber investment management subsidiary with approximately $600 million in assets under management.
  • Led development of enhanced business unit planning, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Led implementation of a new people system (training, performance assessment and feedback, and succession planning).

Principal, Special Projects, Prudential Real Estate Investors (2002–2003)

  • Led the integration of a Munich and Atlanta based commercial real estate investment manager (TMW Immobilien) with 10 European offices, 150 employees, and approximately $6.5 billion in assets under management.  Received 2002 PREI Extra Mile Award for results on this project.
  • Led review and reorganization of PREI’s US operations.

Principal, Operations and Finance, Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (2000–2002)

PMCC is a leading domestic commercial mortgage lender.  As of  2002, PMCC had annual originations of approximately $5 billion and servicing assets of over $35 billion.

  • Led two due diligence teams in the acquisition of WMF Group, one of the nation’s largest commercial mortgage finance companies; successfully led the integration of all functional operations.
  • Subsequently created and occupied a senior management position that coordinated the company’s functional operations – technology, finance, accounting, operational risk management, human resources, and administration.
  • Led development of enhanced business unit planning, reporting, and performance measurement.

Vice President, Securitization/Operations, Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (1997-2000)

Established and directed a department responsible for securitization due diligence, data presentation, and back-end logistics recognized by rating agencies and investors as being among the best in the industry.

Archon Group (Alexandria,VA; Dallas, TX; and Paris, France) 1993-1997

The firm is a majority owned, global real estate asset management subsidiary of Goldman,Sachs & Co.

Investment Manager (1996-1997)

  • Coordinated the firm’s new business development efforts with specific focus on developing an institutional marketing culture and sourcing asset and portfolio acquisitions, joint venture developments, mezzanine investments, third party asset management opportunities, and financing sources.
  • Seconded to sister company in Paris, France, to assist in its development of a distressed asset investment business.  Additionally, directed day-to-day implementation of a proprietary asset management software system.

Assistant Director of Structured Finance (1994-1996) and Analyst (1993-1994)

  • Assisted in establishing a Structured Finance department to lead securitization, financing, and loan sale efforts for the firm’s domestic and international partners and clients.  The group financed and securitized approximately $1.5 billion of assets in its first three years of existence.
  • Established a loan sale program that sold approximately $100 million of commercial mortgages in its first year of operation.
  • Analyzed new business opportunities for senior management, including corporate and portfolio acquisitions and the formation of one public and two private real estate investment funds.
